The lunch includes festive food, entertainment and an opportunity for Elders to connect with community in the lead-up to Christmas. This event forms part of the “Celebrating 50 Years of NAIDOC” theme and continues the tradition of acknowledging the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders across our region.

Event Overview

The Elders Xmas Lunch 2025 invites our local Elders to come together for a warm, relaxed and joy-filled Christmas celebration. Hosted by the Townsville NAIDOC Committee and Community Gro, this annual gathering recognises and honours our Elders for their strength, wisdom and cultural leadership.
